For over three centuries the Medici family had extremely strong ties with Florence.
They were the Lords of the city and great benefactors.Their love of art brought numerous generations of artists to the city, and therefore numerous exquisite masterpieces.
The tour makes its way to the Medici family residences and properties starting in Piazza S. Marco, and ending with a visit to the Palatine Gallery where the once royal apartments now occupy the entire first floor of Palazzo Pitti.

In summer, in the Synagogues and in all the churches, it is obligatory to wear clothes that respect the venue, and therefore covered shoulders, skirts and dresses that fall below the knee, and long trousers are a must.
Additional apparel may be found inside (free inside the Synagogues and at a cost inside the churches).
